Not my interpretation, but this video is just too funny for me for the sake of it! Someone created a video of ABBA's live performances but overdubbed with blatant atonal instruments, hyperbolic sound effects [e.g. Frida clapping hyperactively].. 'Shreds' is a butchered version of an existing song; as you can see, it's a shreds version of 'Does Your Mother Know' This topic does counts as part of the 'tributes' section, innit?  Probably more like a 'homage', perhaps? |

^ I wasn't very aware of it! (No, seriously) Talk about unconscious posting. I was about to post the same thing but I kinda want to get rather more detailed on the 'shreds' phenomenon that I've been rather obsessed with (well, I should have put my other favorite shreds video under the 'Everything else' category). This one isn't exactly a 'shreds' but it's bad lip reading alright (not my personal favorite unfortunately) I think yours might seem like a click-bait thread in my opinion. Your topic is quite understandable to some who are familiar with the concept, but some just aren't and it might give the false impression to someone unfamiliar with it..  |

I read it twice and I was proven wrong. 
I've got no intention of offending you and I never will (why would I ever want to do that?) – I didn't know which definition of 'clickbait' I was using (I found out what it was, and it was quite different from what I used. I forget a lot when I'm using familiar words that I may not know have a rather bitter meaning. In actuality, I am a forgetful person, so you may as well have to get used to me, eventually.), so there must've been a misunderstanding there. My point is that I like the kind of thread posts that's fully written and not extremely vague. My pet peeve happens to be threads that do not state very clearly. Having to read your old thread about the same topic, what I can infer from that... the simple message is: 'It's funny'. I stand corrected, josef . I'm sorry if I took your message the wrong way, I wasn't sure how I was going to explain it in another way, let alone, my blunt, monotonous, and borderline bitter explanation. Perhaps I didn't know a lot about you until now; you're experienced, I've got a lot to learn, I don't want it to turn into an unexpected turbulent, unfair argument – it's not worth risking it. Besides, members here aren't just automatically approved, are they? Would you care to explain more about how a harmless topic between musical humour and ABBA relates to your last sentence? I seem to be confused on what you said about 'automatically approved'.  |

I think you might be overthinking this a little? To clarify: my thread/post was just a bit of harmless fun, it's simply something I saw and thought it might amuse other fans who don't take ABBA's music or image too seriously. As I'm a member here, and have been for some time (and on previous fan sites in the past), I perhaps naively assumed other members would simply see it for what it was- not clickbait, not trolling, just a harmless link to a short clip of silly fun taking a gentle swipe at ABBA. Well, not even a swipe- just a bit of parody or something. I didn't feel the need to elaborate on what it was- I'd understand someone thinking 'clickbait' if I'd only recently joined, didn't have an avatar or previous posts, etc. Anyway, I hope that's the end of it. Thanks for your response.
I also wish there were other shreds, of other ABBA songs. I find them extremely funny!
