ED SHEERAN OVER-TAKES ABBA'S AUSTRALIAN No.1 WEEKS RECORD
Until now.'Fernando' held the Chart Record, for the most No.1 Weeks, in the Australian
Singles Chart - 14. However, in the Week Ending 1st May 2017 Chart, 'Shape Of You'
by Ed Sheeran, over-took ABBA, by having its 15th Week at No.1. It has managed it
in 2 'Runs' - 13 Weeks & then 2 Weeks. This still leaves 'Fernando' as the Australian
No.1 Single with the most consecutive Weeks at No.1 - 14.

THE 'MAMMA MIA!' FILM SOUNDTRACK GETS A 5th UK PLATINUM AWARD
On Friday 28th April, The British Phonographic Industry, (The B.P.I.), gave the 'Mamma Mia!' Film Soundtrack
its Fifth UK Platinum Sales Award, for Sales of 1,500,000. (5 x 300,000 = 1,500,000). When we add in its USA
Sales - 1,800,000 - the Film Soundtrack has sold over 3,300,000, between the UK & USA alone.
