There wasn't a thread dedicated to Frida's music taste... whether in video, written form, or any media, I suppose! It's nice to know her music tastes being so diverse; I remember her writing that "Happy" by Pharrell Williams was her favourite song from today's music somewhere in a Facebook "Ask Frida" thing. (Edit: all-about-abba.tumblr.com/post/121179927850/frida-qa)
Out of all of the ABBA members, Frida's taste of music is well documented. While Agnetha Fältskog may have liked Demis Roussos, the Greek hippie music preacher... Frida obviously took the cake with Phil Collins, who himself, was a household name for equally progressive rock and pop music itself. Frida used to dislike the Beatles because to her, it was equivalent to schlager music, which she thinks is "rubbish", but has come to appreciate the band thanks to Benny Andersson.
As previously mentioned from "Did you know this about ABBA?",
Anni-Frid Lyngstad likes Tchaikovsky, Queen (the band, and went to their concert), Rufus (the one with Chaka Khan, of course), and Stevie Wonder
But the numerous information I found, was quite interesting was that:
She was reportedly at a (Phil Collins era) Genesis concert (as reported in a teen magazine at the end of 1982 when Frida moved out of Stockholm to live in London), and had a dog named Zappa in 1975, probably as an ode to Frank Zappa. She also had a few Quincy Jones jazz records when she was starting out her career.
At around the 23 minute mark, Frida starts doing a Beatles medley with several singers and "Words of Love" by The Mamas and the Papas
And I didn't even know Frida is a fan of Eminem (well, not the Rap God part, her statement was in the early 2000s...)
