I'm kinda shocked that En Ledig Dag wasn't celebrated at all yesterday on ABBAChat. En Ledig Dag kickstarted Frida's career 50 years ago and it deserved to be celebrated.

A brief review of "En ledig dag" from 1967. Anni-Frid from Hörnan, yes. Her record debut passes by rather unnoticed. The result is acceptable for a debutant but if the songs doesn't get more flesh and blood in the future, a more personal touch, then...

I'm sure one of the reasons is that some of us don't know that much about the ABBA members' solo careers. I'm not familiar with En Ledig Dag.

^^^ That's probably true, and especially their careers before the band was formed. But I think for some, it's really interesting to hear the Swedish language output of the group members as you get an impression of four talents converging and the distinctive sound of what was to become ABBA emerging. I often listen to this album, released in 1994 with Agnetha and Frida's early 70's stuff, songs from B & B's 'Lycka' with backing vocals by the girls and Swedish versions of the early ABBA hits.
In the meantime and in keeping with this thread. Never tire of seeing this with it's glorious finale...

Is it that you're not interested in the solo stuff generally? You know, I once started out as an ABBA fan but gradually I was growing curious what all these solo recordings sounded like. Sometimes it was very difficult to get especially some of the Swedish recordings, but today, with YouTube and all those sites you can download music from it's extremely easy...

Is it that you're not interested in the solo stuff generally? No, it's not that I'm not interested, I just don't know that much about their solo careers. I do have recordings of some of their solo songs, including the Lycka album.
