It was actually the 35th anniversary of Something's Going On some time this month.
Let's celebrate I See Red, the second track from the album written by Jim Rafferty. It was covered by Frida, Clannad from Ireland, Velly Joonas from Estonia and Gerald Rafferty (the brother of the writer)
Which is your favourite?

Frida > Gerry Rafferty > Velly Jelly (beans) whoever > Clannad
Gerry Rafferty is amazing (Stealer's Wheels, his Money album, and all that), don't get me wrong, but Frida is the queen of this song (actually, queen of "after ABBA" because her music stands out as far interesting thanks to Steve Lillywhite and Anders Glenmark.). Clannad has messed it up really bad (too many wet reverbs, not enough to be alert. Also too Celtic and too silly.), and Velly Joonas has a slightly better production, though rather still primitive than Rafferty.
Gerry has a rather more pronounced new wave sound...
...and Frida, along with Phil Collins, really stands out with the unrepeatable Polar/Hugh Padgham sound. "I see red", she utters with such alarming yet pleasant tone that is cleverly sugarcoated.
