So there were 6 albums released earlier this year, 3 by Frida, 2 by Agnetha and 1 by B+B
What if another 6 more were to be released in 2018? That's a lovely thought.
I would like to see
Frida - Frida (Dark Red) Frida - Djupa Andetag (Splattered Beige?) Agnetha - Elva Kvinnor I Ett Hus (Scratch and Sniff Pea Soup Green!!!) Agnetha - I Stand Alone (Light Blue) Agnetha - My Colouring Book (Light Pink) Agnetha - A (Clear vinyl)
What do you think?

To call it Back to Black coloured vinyl solo albums is quite inaccurate as Frida's 1971 album is currently held by Parlophone, whereas Agnetha's last two solo albums before "A" were made for Warner, but that doesn't mean they're not liable to make a coloured vinyl. They have, it is that Warner doesn't have a particular series. Neither did Columbia, who holds the rights to Agnetha's pre-1979 solo recordings. ...Back to Black is a series created and used by Universal Music Group and its own affiliations to reissue several albums since the late 2000s... Differing from your stance, I'd like to see Djupa andetag coloured vinyl with industrial metal grey Elva kvinnor i ett hus with red and white polka dots (corresponding to Agnetha's outfits!) "A" with Volvo leather beige Oh, and Chess in checkered greyscale colour.

Is anyone able to compare these reissues with the original issues regarding the quality of the cover artwork? Just curious to know if the graininess of the photos is representative of the originals or whether the reissues are grainier. Also wondering the same about Agnetha's other five Swedish solo reissued albums.

Also wondering the same about Agnetha's other five Swedish solo reissued albums. The Parlophone issue of Frida (1971) is an accurate (it would be too con-manish of me to say precise, hence accurate) replica of the original issue with clear quality (albeit replaced with a Parlophone logo in place of the original Columbia logo due to Sony-EMI trademark issues) It is absolutely WONDERFUL, vivid, and feeling fresh.
Thank Warner Music Sweden for that work. They're the best major reissue record company I've ever seen which they try their best to cater it. Polar Music should learn how to reissue like Warner.
However, I have yet to see a reissue album of Elva kvinnor i ett hus. I have at least seen a photo of a RSD reissue of it on an Australian record store site and it looks kinda muddy and color-dispersed, even if were to be enhanced. Therefore I technically do not see it in physical form; rather in its scanned form.
As I have my original Cupol-CBS LP in my hand with authentic creases, in my own opinion, no reissue can beat the original. Unless if it happens to come from a muddy mastering tape (e.g. In The Court of the Crimson King) and it was cleaned up without some shtick trickery in noise reduction.

I have yet to see a reissue album of Elva kvinnor i ett hus Thanks. I just received my Elva Kvinnor reissue and, having once owned a brand new copy of the original (I gave all my records away in 1982 - Doh!), I immediately noticed that the reflection of the window on the polished floor boards is not a patch on how I remember it. I would describe the effect as being 'washed out' compared to the original. Looking online at scans of the original, it is also very noticeable that the detail around the window is degraded and the title is not as sharp. I would love to own the originals but I'm a bit funny with second hand stuff. Creases would be okay if they were my creases, but I can't love something that someone else has creased. I thought the reissues were going to be the answer for me, but not so sure now. Thinking I should learn to love the 'original creases'.
