This is my first post, great forum btw really interrresting. And I really want to make an entrance....I´m sure the diehards knows this but maybe some don´t.... Agnetha´s surname actually means something. In Swedish her surname, Fältskog, means Fieldforrest. Field-Fält Forrest-Skog Best i could do...

I always thought in English it would translate as Woodfield or perhaps Meadowood.

Fieldforrest is a direct translation but i've never heard of an english person with that surname... Field=Fält Wood=Skog? Does wood in this context mean "forrest" or wood (the material)? The swedish "skog" only means forrest or woods.

Yeah, I had to much time on my hands once, and tried to figure out the anglicized versions of the ABBA members names. Agnes Fieldwood and Anne Heatherton would be the most logical variants for the girls. Funnily enough, there is a 'Fieldwood Travel' company and you'll never guess where it's based?
Yep...... Sverige. Maybe they originally were called Faltskog. pontus-nilsson-kjce.squarespace.com/contact/
Edit : Just seen one of the company proprietors is called Michael Faltskog.

Agnes Fieldwood and Anne Heatherton sound so boring and dull, like they belong to a couple of dowdy librarians. Agnetha Fältskog sounds and looks a lot better.

'Bear Wolfy' is a rather racy name...
