Which artist would have filled the void for you? For me in the 70s think it would have been Donna Summer and from the 8os onwards Madonna.

For me, -Miles Davis and his great spinoffs: Josef Zawinul & Wayne Shorter (Weather Report), Chick Corea (Return to Forever), Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, and amongst others, too many to name... -Ted Gärdestad would have filled the void for me, had ABBA not existed at all. -Anni-Frid Lyngstad herself would fill my void, if she proved successful as Olivia Newton-John (second option) did in her domestic market without ABBA (Think Frida with the continuation contribution with Bengt Palmers, like Olivia with John Farrar)... no matter what time period she started in. -Olivia Newton-John, obviously. lol
