ABBA Intermezzo has a source (or leak) in Universal that's said the 1977 Australian tour will be released on CD next year. Not sure if it's anywhere on this forum about it. Anyone on here have any other info? It's apparently quite a reliable source but I've still not seen anything else about it other than what someone reported on the other forum. What a pity that was never more than an unconfirmed rumour. What a greater pity we never got to who was Regina's and ABBA Intermezzo's original source. |

It may yet be more than a rumour... 2017 is far from over, isn't it?  I don't believe that the 40th anniversary of ABBA The Movie, ABBA The Album and ABBAmania will pass by without any accompanying release. I keep my fingers crossed. |

In hindsight, it can be seen as the most bizarre forum topic that appeared on ABBA Forum. It was posted as almost-fact and backed up by a member that claimed to have sources within Universal. When I added the "NOT YET CONFIRMED" to the topic title, the topic-starter and the back-up were a little put out, and I got a PM from the back-up to say it was almost certainly going to happen. Yet there was nothing else on the web, anywhere, that reported the same rumour.

Well, funny as it is, I'm quite sure there will be another reissue of ABBA The Movie sooner or later as it was recently digitally restored. And as for The Album reissue... I think we need this album in a better sound quality, so I would't be against buying a newly remastered version. However, I really hope that such releases won't be the only ones this year |
