Well, the truth is that I don't remember that much from the concerts, at least not from the 1975 one, but I'll give it a try. The 1975 performance took place in a " Folkets Park", which were located in my hometown, Linköping. Linköping is by the way located approx. 120 km(75 miles) north of Jönköping. ;-) As I said, I don't have so many specific memories from the concert, except that it was very crowded and packed with people. Somehow, me and my friend managed to push our way through the crowd, and ended up just about 2 meters from the scene. We also stood only 1 meter from the left front speaker, but that didn't bother us at all at that time, 'cause you're obviously immortal at the age of 15! ;-) I also remember that the concert made a big impression on me, because of the high quality on both the performance and the sound. A week later, we had planned to go "Gamleby Folkets Park" to watch the show again, but something got in the way so unfortunately we missed that one. :-( Here are two pictures taken at the actual concert in Linköping by our local newspaper:

Hello everybody! My name is Janne and I'm from Sweden. Been an ABBA fan since 1972, and have seen them live 3 times: 1975, 1977 and 1979. Working as an engineer for a living, and playing keyboard and riding motorcycles in my spare time. :-) Hej! Welcome here! It would be great to meet you

Hi All, I'm John.....I loved ABBA as a kid....but somehow never saw them. (I live in the US). Fast forward to 2005....I got a DVD of their videos, and.....well....I fell in love with Agnetha. It started off slow, lol.....but I watched that DVD many times. Then when Youtube made ABBA's performances and interviews so available....wow....I think Agnetha is the most beautiful, talented woman I have ever seen. I am grateful to all of ABBA, no doubt....and Frida (who is great as well....I just couldn't take my eyes off Agnetha)...made it possible for Agnetha by....I believe being a big sister to her....which she needed to thrive....But Agnetha is a once in a lifetime talent. She just has to look into the camera.....And her voice is so incredibly beautiful....going back to her Swedish songs....Anyway, I have been to 45 concerts...all of them BIG stars....unfortunately I was too young to see ABBA....I wish.....

Hej there, Bonjour le monde !

Erick, from Paris, France, previously known as EricKMKY on A4E and I'm back on ABBAChat !! I'm a 1992 generation ^^ when I was introduce to ABBA with ABBA Gold. Since that date it goes on and on and on...
Great "Album" but I prefer the non singles material on the albums
"Eat, read, sleep, ABBA"
The music, the sound, the live sound (I love their live sound : bootlegs or album)
Favorites Albums : The Album, The Visitors and Waterloo Favorite song : maybe 10 or 20 TOP1 ^^
Great initiative this new forum !!! Thank you !!

A big warm welcome to all new members of ABBAChat - I am very pleased to see you all here I appreciate you taking the time to introduce yourselves - it's nice to learn a little about each other. I see this forum as a community - of people from around the world - who all share a common passion - and feel that passion enough to want to share it with others. We are a unique community - a very diverse community - our passion stems off in different directions, we enjoy different aspects - but at the basis is one thing - a music group - a phenomenal music group - ABBA. I enjoy being able to share my passion with you all here - I hope you all find what you are looking for in this forum - and I hope you enjoy being a part of this community Cheers from Australia Roxy

Hi there, everyone!
Nice to be on board! I'm another of those people who've been 'stateless' since the closure of ABBA4Ever, and I've finally plumped for this forum rather than 'the other place'! I was 'abbarry' on the old forum but have picked a new username for reasons that I'll outline on the 'Ring Ring' thread.
The only 'exciting' thing to report since the old forum's demise is the publication (under a pen name) on Amazon Kindle of my Eurovision/ABBA-related book 'Big Dreams, Bum Notes: How Music Led Me to Eurovision Oblivion'. Again, I'll tell you more about it elsewhere.
Looking forward to exchanging views, news and nonsense with you all, in a highly civilised way (of course)!
Cheers
Barry

You seem to have expanded one of your replies to me on a4e into a whole book The title resonates with my own half-hearted musical career so I will be sure to check it out.

Thanks, everyone, for your welcomes - much appreciated! Martin - consider yourself very much part of the 'target market' for my tale of woe! From what you told me on A4E, I think you'd be able to relate to quite a few of my musical experiences!

Hi my name is Glenn,i'm 52 and i'm from Newcastle Upon Tyne,England.I've been an Abba fan since seeing 'Fernando' on Top Of The Pops early 1976.The second concert i ever attended was Abba at Bingley Hall,Staffordshire.I saw Benny and his orchestra a few years ago on Hampstead Heath and it was so emotional hearing Helen Sjoholm sing 'Hasta Manana'.
