Hi my name is Glenn,i'm 52 and i'm from Newcastle Upon Tyne,England.I've been an Abba fan since seeing 'Fernando' on Top Of The Pops early 1976.The second concert i ever attended was Abba at Bingley Hall,Staffordshire.I saw Benny and his orchestra a few years ago on Hampstead Heath and it was so emotional hearing Helen Sjoholm sing 'Hasta Manana'. Welcome Glenn. Stafford Bingley is in my neck of the woods. It's very handy for Newcastle Under Lyme, but a long way from Newcastle Upon Tyne. At least, it is until Wembley is considered as the only other option |

Hi, everyone. I'm Mike, from the USA. I'll be 53 years old soon, and I've been an ABBA fan since I became familiar with the Arrival album in 1977. Unfortunately, I never saw ABBA in person, although I live about halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee, and they did concerts in both cities. I joined this forum a month ago and have posted 17 times already, but it took me a while to find this thread (this forum is different from the abba4ever forum). So far, I've seen only a few people here who I remember from the abba4ever forum.

I hope you are able to settle in and enjoy this forum - help it to grow and evolve Yes, it is different to ABBA4ever - I ran out of time to study their format for the forum - and I've never set one up before - so it's not exactly how I would have liked it. It also did not occur to me at the time, to use the same Forum hosts - which totally confused the issue ! But I hope everyone will get used to this layout - because changing it at this point is a little tough ! lol |

Personally, I like the things about this forum that make it different from Abba4ever. The unique layout and the different procedure of posting make it a welcome change. Thanks for that feedback. I'm glad to know you are happy with the format I am still getting used to it myself actually - so I understand completely if some find it a bit confusing at first - especially after being with ABBA4ever. But I guess a lot of forums start out this way, till everyone gets used to the format. It is not exactly as I was hoping for - but I am learning more all the time, so I hope to streamline it a bit more yet. It won't happen overnight - but it will happen  Roxy |

That's right - just doesn't feel quite as laid back as this place. A bit more intense and intermittently confrontational, perhaps - based on the odd very superficial shufty, so maybe I'm being unfair. (Though I kind of miss Roddy's input and abbajen's banter from the A4E days.) But good to have all the latest recruits on board! |

im happy I discovered your site. I loved the bang a boomerang special. and im so thrilled to "meet " you online at least. ive been an abba fan since abba in Switzerland. ive gone to Sweden a few times and to the Roosendaal event twice. I will be going again this April to Stockholm to see the mannequins/silicone figures up close. my first contact with other abba fans was during the abbamail days in the 90s. funny how that was the first time I learned how to use the internet also. I guess abba was the first thing on my mind when I got on the internet.
