Hi everyone, I'm Angela, I'm from Melbourne Australia and have been an ABBA fan since I saw them on the "Best of ABBA" special in 1976. Other things I like to do are Reading, crosswords, playing games like Mahjong solitaire and gardening.

)Excuse me, because i'm a newer and my written English is very bad. I speak good English, but write badly, although I know Russian in perfection. The only reason I got here is a genuine love for the band Abba from childhood. I use a translator from Russian into English to write you, but want to live communication with those who like I love this group. Help me to speak to you at first, please. ) If I signed up and wrote in vain it is, then I'm sorry. But I'm persistent. )) I would like to meet with Swedish or English fans of Abba, as noticed that Sweden and England produces more than any other world musical talent. And goodbye for now.

Hi, my name is Robert, and I am from Salzburg, Austria. ABBA were the ones who started my interest in music. When I first heard SOS on the Radio, I was immediately hooked by Agnethas voice. Back then I even did not know how ABBA looked or from where they came…
But I also like the recent works by Benny and Björn, of course BAO and the musicals. And I must say, never since Agnetha has a voice touched me more than that of Helen Sjöholm!
Other than this, I also like rock music, like Rainbow, Queen, Rush, but recently Amberian Dawn… and much more…

Hello, My name Micheal from Vancouver 🇨🇦. I was a bit of an ABBA fan already when I heard “Ring Ring”, “Waterloo”, being played on a local radio station in Montreal back around 1974. I was only totally hooked on the group after hearing “When I Kissed The Teacher” from the Arrival lp for the first time through my stereo headphones🎧. It’s been a continuous, never ending love affair ever since 👩👦🧔👧🏻🎶 I had the privilege of seeing my all time favourite band twice in 79’ for their first and sadly😭 last world tour, first in Edmonton and then Vancouver 2 days later. I would have gone to Seattle and/or Portland, but I ran out of 💰! Over the past several years, thanks to Ebay, I have amassed quite a large collection of records/cd/vhs/DVD/books, etc., I would say several hundred in scope, my bed room and hallway has turned into bit of an ABBA museum!! I just came across your site by chance, while looking at something else and decided to join! I hope to contribute in some way over time!? Cheers, MB

Hello all! I've been a fan since the 70s when I was a teen. I know ABBA was not as big in the USA back then, but it seemed like they were pretty popular to me. I heard their songs all over the radio back then. I think too much is made of "they only had one #1 hit". Didn't know a thing about them until I bought a "best of" collection and saw their picture. I would have guessed it was a group of 5 women from the sound of the songs. My fandom has only grown over the years as I found out more about them and heard more of their songs. I was a rocker kid for the most part (Van Halen, Megadeth, Alice in Chains, etc) , but ABBA never left me. Their music is timeless.

I heard their songs all over the radio back then. I think too much is made of "they only had one #1 hit". Although Dancing Queen was their only #1 hit here, they had 14 Top 40 hits here. Incidntally, I, too, know who Harpo Marx was, although I'm not a Marx Brothers fan. Welcome to ABBAChat, harpospoke.

Hi everyone, I´m Thomas from the very north of Sweden, and this forum seems to be a great place... I unknowingly grew up with Abbas music (as almost all Swedes did) from the mid 70´s through the 80´s as it was played around me often as child but not by me. I was a metal fan growing up and it wasn´t until i was 15 in 1992 and Gold that I really started listening seriously. I already knew all the big hits before that obviously but I remember hearing "Eagle" on the radio one night and it really moved me... I realised it was Abba and I needed more. Been a huge fan ever since. I remember Roxanne from the aussie dox and it´s great that Abbas history lives on through her work.
Favourite song: Lovers (live a little longer), I Let the music speak or Elaine right now. Favourite album: Waterloo (original mix) at the moment Favourite member: The one with the funny clothes. Favourite food: Tinned herring
See ya around.
