Hi fellow ABBA fans
I was in two minds whether or not to join because the forum is pretty slow at the moment. (I've been visiting the site as a 'guest'for quite a while.)
But I thought I'd join anyway, and contribute when I can. I was briefly on the the old abba4ver forum back in 2009 - frightening how time moves on! - and if I say so myself I started a few topics and contributed to others.
It's mainly about the music for me - ABBA produced wonderfully accessible yet timeless pop; and as for the combined singing of Agnetha and Frida, they still have the capacity to thrill and delight me

Hi, I forgot to introduce myself to the forum. I'm Edmund and joined the forum in March 2019. I have been a loyal ABBA fan for many many years, even when it was uncool to admit to liking them. Since I left work I have been plagued by depression and anxiety. I have good days and bad days. There are certain ABBA songs that evoke happier memories for me whether they are uplifting or melancholy. Let us hope we hear the new ABBA songs very soon.

Hello,
I was in college 1975 when I first heard ABBA. Or it was the song Honey Honey. I fell in love with them and purchased almost all of their "albums". Now revisiting the group last year since I found out they were inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the US in 2010. Learning so much about the group since they have done their own projects that I didn't know about before. Looking forward to the ABBA tar releases. Just purchased Carl Magnus Palm's "The Complete Recording Sessions".

Hi everyone, I'm Steve and live in England UK. I'm just about old enough to remember ABBA from when they won Eurovision with Waterloo. As a youngster, I loved all those famous old songs when they ruled the charts through the 70s. And while I listen to rock music most of the time, I still love all those old songs. They are timeless classics that will live forever.

Hello all,
Long time ABBAChat reader (especially since the new songs and avatar project were announced) but decided to finally sign up today.
As some of you may work out from my name, I'm an Irish ABBA fan. While I didn't live through ABBA's active years, I was luckily old enough to become aware of ABBA's music in 2004 and have been an avid fan since.
My favourite albums would have to be Voulez Vous, Arrival and Super Trouper, but I love all of them in truth. I think I've overcompensated for missing out on ABBA's heyday, by amassing a rather large collection of CDs, DVDs, vinyl records and more in the last 16 years.
Looking forward to discussing all sorts of topics over the coming months, which should be exciting in the world of ABBA fans!
