Johnny -- The Top 10 Male/Female UK Chart Acts - based on Top 10 Singles + Albums Weeks are:
01).. ABBA -- SINGLES -- 115 + ALBUMS -- 263 -- TOTAL = 378 WEEKS
02).. FLEETWOOD MAC -- SINGLES -- 48 + ALBUMS -- 221 -- TOTAL = 269 WEEKS
03).. GEORGE MITCHELL MINSTRELS -- SINGLES -- 0 + ALBUMS -- 171 -- TOTAL = 171 WEEKS @@@
04).. THE CARPENTERS -- SINGLES -- 24 + ALBUMS -- 138 -- TOTAL = 162 WEEKS
05).. WINGS//PAUL McCARTNEY & WINGS -- SINGLES -- 52 + ALBUMS -- 108 -- TOTAL = 160 WEEKS
06).. BLACK EYED PEAS -- SINGLES -- 92 + ALBUMS -- 49 -- TOTAL = 141 WEEKS
07).. THE SEEKERS -- SINGLES -- 40 + ALBUMS -- 100 -- TOTAL = 140 WEEKS
08).. THE EURYTHMICS -- SINGLES -- 33 + ALBUMS -- 95 -- TOTAL = 128 WEEKS
09).. BLONDIE -- SINGLES -- 53 + ALBUMS -- 69 -- TOTAL = 122 WEEKS
10).. STEPS -- SINGLES -- 52 + ALBUMS -- 60 -- TOTAL = 112 WEEKS
@@@ -- From the UK TV Show - 'The Black and White Minstrel Show' - which was on UK TV, from 1958 to 1978. A very 'controversial' Act, by Today's standards. However, they did have enough Top 10 Weeks, to be in 3rd place, in my List. Although, I do not like including them. Notice, that they never spent even 1 Week, in the Singles Chart Top 10. They were an Albums Chart Act. They never had any Singles Released. Not one. They were the 1st UK Chart Group, to have 3 No.1 Albums...
For those wondering where Boney M are:
13).. BONEY M -- SINGLES -- 58 + ALBUMS -- 40 -- TOTAL = 98 WEEKS

It may be cynical old me, plus we officially don't know yet....
But Gold has been steadily falling down the UK album charts over the past few weeks, it's currently at its lowest position all year, 25, .... I may be talking to the air, or it's all pure coincidence... but are they building up because of the decline to move the streams from Gold to "50" .... emmmm I wonder....
It will be a tragic shame if it does happen, ok we all know the charts aren't what they were, but Gold , does hold the record, and has been constantly in the charts for approx 379 concurrent weeks, is on a total 1170 weeks and is currently 9th best selling album of 2024...
Wouldn't it be a shame to ruin all of that for a album that's been universally panned....

I may be talking to the air, or it's all pure coincidence... but are they building up because of the decline to move the streams from Gold to "50" .... emmmm I wonder.... If they do switch the streaming 'sales figures' for the 'Gold' tracks over '50', they will likely have decided to do that at the planning/marketing stage in my view, i.e. before they announced the forthcoming release of it. I don't think it will be linked to any current 'dip' in chart performance. We're into Q4 which always contains a myriad of new releases and that can push down the 'heritage' acts a little. ABBA usually bounce up the charts a bit in Q1 - it remains to be seen whether that will be with 'Gold' or '50' of course. Whichever release is to be counted, the qualifying scheme for inclusion towards the chart in the UK will be the same i.e. the best 16 streaming tracks will be determined at the end of each day, with the top 2 (usually 'DQ' and 'GGG' these days) being 'cancelled out' and awarded an average score based on the performance of the subsequent 14 tracks. Then the totals added up for all the week and recorded as a 'sale' for each 1,000 qualifying streams. I also believe that only a maximum 10 streams of any particular track (per streaming device/account) each day is counted towards the UK chart.

Being a bit naive here and should know better...
If as you say ^^ DQ and GGG are cancelled out, does their streams get counted at all ? and are for the single only ? I assume so....
If so, how many official Million sellers have Abba got in the UK these days as I only ever see DQ on " Million sellers " , I recall recently GGG has gone double platinum, i.e. 1.2 million... all a bit confusing really.....

Music Week have a piece on Coldplsy's new album and comparing its sales with other acts
Top CD sellers of 2020s 1. 30 - Adele 465k 2 -Voyage - ABBA 373k 3- Equals - Ed Sheeran - 322k 4 Moon - Coldplay - 182k 5. TTPD - Taylor Swift - 173k
These are total sales. For Coldplay that is just 1 week's sales
Total Physical Sales (CD + VINYL + Cassette) 1.30 - Adele 523k 2.Voyage - ABBA 425k 3.Equals - EdcSheeran 368k 4. Midnight's- Taylor Swift 284k 5. TTPD - Taylor Swift - 263k
ABBA's Voyage on 425 physical. Add downloads and streaming. Last year total sales 475k.Probably total sales 480-85k.
Voyage's 425k physical sales compares with 1.7m for Arrival and about 1.2m for Super Trouper and a million for The Album.
