This news comes from the official ABBA site. Great news! Can't wait to hear these four new mixes of such a great song. As an extra special celebration of Frida, some of the hottest names on today’s dance music scene – LINDSTRØM, FRED FALKE, TORN and JUNGE JUNGE – were given free rein with the original recording of ‘I Know There’s Something Going On’, creating their own mixes of the track. These exciting blends between the 1980s and the 2010s will be available digitally from October 19.

I find strange that the record company makes promotion with this artwork : using a photo from an ABBA session by photographer Anders Hanser

I have to be honest and say that I really am not an admirer of Anders Hansers' photography for record sleeves. His style seems so blunt. His documentary, on-the-move photos are terrific and they work well on inner sleeves, magazines and books. But record sleeves - whether albums or singles - need a certain glamour that he just didn't bother with. I think that he probably had that kind of conversation with ABBA and with Rune Soderqvist, because he never shot an ABBA album cover.
I was surprised, too, to see the image chosen for the single. I suppose both Universal and Frida shrugged and admitted there was no point in pretending she had never been part of ABBA. And who knows: given the timing of the photo session, maybe Polar commissioned these images with both ABBA's and Frida's releases in mind? It's a nice photo but I would prefer something where she was looking a little less happy: IKTSGO is not a cheerful song!

Would have loved this image to have been used. (minus the name splashed across obviously).

That is a terrific shot. Is that the image hanging on the wall of her "apartment" in the video?

Not one of the new mixes, but a good one by a fan.

That is a bit poppier than I expected. I kinda like it. Roll on the next two mixes. I'm hoping one of them will be a dark and relentless dance banger.

Looks like the Lindstrøm remix has made some kind of chart for trendy/cutting edge music! Hard to know what these stats are based on but it's great to see the song getting such recognition after more than 30 years! ausfahrt20.blogspot.co.at/

Third of the new remixes (Fred Falke). Racking my brains about that guitar riff. Features in some other famous song but what?

Such a sunny twist on the darker original. It sounds like Frida saying "your loss" to a feckless dude and telling him to have taken his toothbrush and shaving gear from the bathroom before she gets back from a night out with the girls. I thought I wouldn't like this... but it's ridiculously cathcy. Hope there's a decent radio edit, because this has real potential.
Now I'd love to hear "Shine" remixed by this guy. It could be amazing.

Martin, you are truly intercultural and like TOTALLY sophisticated, knowing "feck". "Feck" is only "language" in Ireland. And mild, granny-friendly "language" at that.

I like this one a lot - especially how the original guitar riff is utilised. A tenner says it will be sampled ad nauseum in a slew of other tracks now that it has been "un-buried." The vocal balance seems particularly good on this mix too. I'd like to hear this played LOUD in a club.

Yes, very pleased. Went for the Limited Edition. It arrived a day before the official release date which was a pleasant surprise. The making of the 'Something's Going On' documentary and the promo videos look like they've been freshened up colour and sharpness wise. The 7" vinyl is fine too. One minor quibble is I think they could have had a booklet with more pages in it, the box being certainly deep enough to have fitted a little more in. The two interviews are new to me and don't think they're on Youtube. Still trying to see if there are any discernible sound differences between the new CD and the 2005 issue. The art card also has a genuine signature. Two thousand signings then. That's some effort.

Yes, that's what I thought over the signed card thing. Just shows that she really cared about this release and that it was a nice gesture for us. I was hoping for a coloured vinyl issue of (IKTSGO)or a picture disc 7'' using the same artwork as the box lid. As it is, I am happy I got a set in the first place so I should complain too much.

I know what you mean, Debbie. If any ABBA remixes are ever released, I wish they would be physical releases, but I'm sure they won't be.

I received my copy of the 12" single containing the Lindstrøm remix (side 1) and his Dub mix (side 2). Delighted to have managed to get such a limited item!
