So it seems that the coloured vinyl box has been put back to 14th Oct according to udiscover.

Aw nuts. I was looking forward to getting my "your order has been dispatched" email next week. I wonder why the delay? It's not like there's a chart strategy.
Edit: Actually, I just popped over.... it still says 7 October.

I'm interested to know what the backs of the picture disc singles look like. The fronts of them utilise the single cover artwork, but not seen the back on any site yet.

I bought the DQ pic disc from wowhd. Originally, it was listed as 7th Oct, but recently has changed to 14th Oct. My apologies with the mistake I made on the coloured vinyl release.

I've just gone and bought the four picture discs off eBay for £10 each (plus £3 total postage). I know, I know! I could have got them for less had I ordered them along with the coloured vinyl box. I couldn't afford them last month, and this month was not looking good either, but I decided to put my car service off until after my next payday!
If my car breaks down in the meantime, I'll blame Universal.

I just ordered the one pic disc, Dancing queen. I'm looking forward to the singles box set more, though. It will be nice to finally have some Abba colour vinyl

I did look on WowHD after I saw your post but I couldn't see it. I haven't ordered from them since they failed to dispatch my last order and didn't reply to any of my emails asking where it was!
I did consider just getting one but I'm a bit of a completist. If I get one, I have to get them all!

I know what Alan means about being a completist, but I am utterly skint at the moment. I purchased just the one and it was DQ. I may buy the others in the future.

That photo certainly makes the coloured vinyls look good, along with their box. The plastic covers on the picture discs don't exactly make them look that attractive.

I had an email this morning that my order will be dispatched in the 1-4 working days.

I've had an email from the eBay seller I bought the picture discs from to say that they have been dispatched.
I've heard nothing from uDiscover about the coloured vinyl box, but then again none of their emails seem to be coming through. I'll chase them up.

Wow HD still claim the 4 pic discs are out on 14th. I'll never order from WowHD again after they failed to dispatch an order 18 months ago. They failed to respond to several emails. I only lost about £5 but even so, once bitten, twice shy. I did search on their site and no sign of any new ABBA releases.

Udiscover emailed me on Fri to say the coloured vinyl is dispatched. Wowhd have the pic discs listed but released on 14th. I emailed them last week to say the release is 7th. They just said they would be dispatched when they are released. I only bought DQ anc paid via PayPal, so not worried.

Their website lists all items for release on 7 October (with the box set and picture discs marked as "sold out"). It seems odd that they would email some customers and not others about the same product. Separately, I recently heard some worrying things about their customer service... I hope we won't have hassle. I have just emailed them and crossed my fingers.

Yes, my coloured vinyl box has arrived in today's post too, so I'm a happy man!
It seems the picture discs are literally hot off the presses, I've had an update from the eBay seller:
Hello Alan, Thanks for getting in touch. Sorry, we should have contacted you yesterday evening. We have only received 'Dancing Queen' and 'Fernando' 7"s from the record company so far, these arrived late yesterday afternoon and we got those ones out to you yesterday. The record company told us they are sending out the other two today as they only received these from the pressing plant yesterday evening and we should get them on Monday. As soon as we get them, we will send out your copies to you. I hope this is all ok and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards, Rob Lost In Vinyl

Having fully inspected the box and its contents, I can safely say it's quite beautiful. The single covers are indeed glossy and use thick paper stock. And dare I say it, I don't think the artworks are scans. It's possible they've re-created the original artwork. Certainly the titles look bold and pronounced, unlike on the scans in the 2014 singles box.
The singles themselves are the thickest vinyl I've ever encountered on 7" (to be fair I don't get that much modern 7" vinyl so don't have much to compare them with). I love the colours, and the Polar labels look great on them (I wouldn't have expected photos on the labels, and I think they would have spoilt them).
And the box itself is indeed excellent quality. It came in outer cardboard packaging to avoid damage in the post.

There was a knock on the door around noon and I thought who the hells that. It was the postman with the coloured vinyl. Could've kissed him.

Good to hear they've done a square job in terms of the materials and finishes used. It's a funny business, this era of the deluxe edition/limited edition/multi-format plus exclusives edition, isn't it. I haven't gone for this Arrival package, but I have just received the special edition of Radiohead's A Moon Shaped Pool. It arrived and there I was, handling it as though it were a Faberge egg; poring over the condition of the book it comes housed in, checking that the corners weren't dented and that the vinyl was free of warp and pressing blemishes (I'll end up listening to files ripped from the CD, and probably won't spin the vinyl above a couple of times!). People are losing their homes to earthquakes, and here I am, sweating over the current and future physical well-being of a pop band release made out of cardboard, paper and polyvinyl. First world problems, eh?

Thought I should buy something to celebrate Arrival's 40th, so I've just ordered DQ picture disc before they sell out. There's still a few cheap ones left on ebay. I paid £9.99 free postage.

Nice, so what's the title of the box set, "7" Singles Box Set"? What's written on the spines of the box?

ABBA Arrival- The Singles is written on the side of the box.

The reverse sides of the two picture disc singles that have arrived so far. They pick out a colour from the cover shot and simply add the titles and credits.
