OMG, that looks nothing like ABBA. It looks like an ABBA as they might be now. I thought the idea of this ABBAtars show was to re-create an ABBA concert as it was in 1979. I thought the same and I hoped to witness the recreation of possibly all three original tours. On the other hand I was wondering how they would sustain an interest in the show. This actually opens up new possibilities. They can do countless versions - ABBA as we knew them for the conservative older fans, the modern look for the younger generation and everything in between. There will be fans who want to see both... quite clever actually.

I have little interest in the holograms - only in as much as they may be tied to the music - except to say that, to me, they seem very stylised semblances, not their '79 looks at all. I'm just anxious that I won't like the new songs. Not very positive of me, but that's how I honestly feel.

It looks nice, their avvatars!!! Time didn't stop december 1982. Fans who want them to look like 1982, 1979, or wahatever, they are 40 years backwards, as if in 1982 we wanted to see ABBA as in 1942!!! So, the way they present themselves now, and also the way their new music will sound now, is HOW IT IS NOW! Imagine that fans were asked in 1979: "would you like to know how ABBA was sounding and looked like in the year 1949? "

I wonder how energetic or 'happy' the event will be, or will it be kinda Nordic with stoic faces, keeping calmly to the facts. Obviously that depends a lot on how it's all done, if there's a host that keeps things going or if it's just B&B calmly revealing details.

This is worse than a Channel 5 documentary. I wish they’d just get on with what we’re here for and cut out all of this crap!

Watching that video was really quite an emotional moment. The songs are lovely - they need a second listen to really dig in. Surprised to see "Just A Notion" on the tracklist. Roll on November!

Oh my God! Have you seen the store yet? Yes, I expected multiple formats but this?? Four different CDs, four different cassettes, vinyls, there is a picture disc...
Otherwise, what to say? I have to digest all of this...

So they were keeping it up their sleeves! A new album for November! What we've all wanted! Wonderful news! The two long-awaited songs, I need to listen to some more because they didn't knock me out on first hearing, but I sort of half-expected them not to at this stage. Lots of my favourite songs I've taken some time to appreciate.

Has anyone been able to buy anything from the ABBA Voyage site yet? It’s always clogging up.

Great: they're finally releasing my favorite song. Just a notion. three years ago I wrote on the official ABBY website about unfinished songs released in 1992 on the CD Thank you for the music (Abba undeleted). I wrote that it would not be bad to finish some of these songs. I will release the song Just like that and I will be satisfied. Alternatively, a beautiful song I Know Him So Well -1984.

Lots of my favourite songs I've taken some time to appreciate. To be honest, I didn't like ISHFIN for the first time, but it's growing on me, it really is. But when they announced the album it was an overwhelming feeling! Pity Agnetha and Frida didn't take part in the stream. I wonder if they do some promotion together when the album is out.

Thematically, Dont Shut Me Down is a new version of As Good As New! Love it.
Now look at me, here I am again... As Good as New (decoded, reloaded!)

ABBA Voyage seems to confirm my inference that they are continuing where they left off. In some moments they sound as if they've picked up the style of The Day Before You Came (especially in Don't Shut Me Down) and turned around the melancholic overtones / u-turned and went into a great fest of reconciliation and making the most of it while it lasts, notwithstanding the overarching topic of nostalgia. I Still Have Faith in You is very triumphal and powerful - kinda has a bit of Ted Gärdestad (Come Give Me Love) flavour there. And.... Benny Andersson's synthesizer is alive and well.

Surprised to see "Just A Notion" on the tracklist. Roll on November! Hopefully it’s a complete re-recording and not the original, as that would be cheating a bit for a new album. Also there’s supposedly a track called “Bumblebee” - hopefully not “Free As A Bumblebee”…
