Any thoughts on why No Doubt About It doesn't seem to be getting as many views on You Tube as all the other songs on Voyage? I love it! I Wonder - always loved this song! Personally, I'm miffed... NDAI was my favourite first listen on 5th November and I still think it's great. Also gets an enthusiastic ''reaction'' on virtually all of those YouTube reaction videos. Strangely it also has the fewest plays [from 'Voyage'] on Spotify too

Thank you foreverfan. It is a shame, as I think it's a good song, but it is quite unusual in its structure I think.
Hi Pixi - it has grown on me a lot since first hearing it - maybe a bit more time and it will catch up! There are others I prefer but, as foreverfan says, I wouldn't skip, in fact I don't skip any of the Voyage songs!

NDAI and KAEOD are infectiously catchy and continue to buzz around in your head for days after hearing the tracks.

NDAI was the jump-out track for me when the album was released. I love it! What I notice most about reviewers' comments is that they say it's the "most ABBAish" (I think that DSMD is the most trademark ABBA myself). Lifted clear of the album (and ideally afforded a video) it should hold its own as a radio single. It has great energy.
Everyone seems to have different favourites, though. I suppose WYDWM is probably the more likely candidate for the mooted New Year single.

I think No Doubt About It would be the best choice. I think we need another uptempo ABBA single. As a single it would get a new lease of life as far as spotify and youtube goes.
"Dan" is structually too similar to DSMD. Preamble storytelling before a more uptempo chorus.
"Dance" would be a good choice but No Doubt About It better.

Voyage has climbed back into the top 3 (UK) and is selling more than it was last week. This one's got legs!

Possible next single release? If I could choose? Um, maybe When You Danced With Me? For personal reasons, well, not so personal really, I couldn't give a monkey's...it made me feel homesick for Ireland, amongst other things. I like No Doubt About It, it's still growing on me. It reminds me of Frida during the Shine period. I can see it on that album. It doesn't grab me as much as Keep An Eye On Dan, though. I wouldn't say no to that as a single. Actually, release them all. Oh wait...that's what an album's all about.
I don't read every post, I simply cannot be arsed, but I notice 'I Wonder' is being mentioned a lot, not sure why? I can't be bothered to scroll back far, but I like it, always have. Not crazy about it, but have definitely always appreciated it. I'm surprised it hasn't been adopted by the LGBTQ+ as a coming out anthem. I recall when I first heard it feeling that it was almost autobiographical. From Agnetha OR Frida's perspective. Agnetha leaving her little town to go to Stockholm, Frida deciding to branch out and pursue her career and leave her children with their father and everything she'd known. I guess it's a combination of all they'd experienced but basically fictional. Yeah, like The Winner Takes It All. It makes me feel calm. I guess it's just one of those tracks people simply haven't heard of. If ONLY songs of this ilk were put to use in a serious film or musical, non-Mamma Mia! like. I can dream. Please God there won't be a third installment. One other thing I'm grateful for- Voyage has put AꓭBA and their actual music firmly back in the spotlight and not those dreadful covers, and hopefully for a long time to come.

Yip, No Doubt About it is an amazing track, love the sentiment of the track of the protagonist wanting a fight regardless whether their partner is nice or not, structurally it’s really diverse and the song itself doesn’t really know what it’s doing or where it’s going, real classic ABBA, and the ‘hissing like a wild cat..’ simile, then the follow up: ‘this isn’t where it ends’ and the alliteration of the ‘s’ sounding just like a wild cat is genius songwriting.

Joseph, I totally agree. I think WYDWM should be the next potential contender for single release. I love it to bits as all the other great tracks. There is not a " dud " track on " Voyage ". Yes, please release them all ( only joking ). Moving on to the subject of IW on the whole it isn't a bad song and I don't dislike it but it just isn't one of my favourites. As Richard pointed out previously it boils down to each fan's personal tastes.

Yes, I'd be happy with either, Edmund. I'd like something other than a lyric video, though. The novelty of them has worn off for me. The difficulty lies in the fact AꓭBA don't wish to appear in them but computer wizardy being what it is, there must be something they could come up with, besides the ABBATARS. Time will tell. It's just wishful thinking and I really am more than happy but I'd love a glossy video of all four as they are now, all glammed up for the camera. Ah, well. Can't have it all. Greedy chops I am.
In other news....I bought Voyage on CD (two copies cos I was impatient) and last night a friend in London said she has Voyage on vinyl, sent by mistake, free to good home! NATURALLY I put the feelers out and she's sending it to me! OMG I'm such a beg! But what a winner, hey? She'd ordered Nirvana and Voyage came by mistake (?). I have a turntable but it's yonks old and will no doubt need a new stylus? I probably won't play it? Or maybe I will, sod it. I just need to get my grubby little paws on it 😆

Not sure if reported elsewhere but album sold another 125,000 worldwide last week and is now #6 in the global album chart. Total sales just under 1.25 million. www.mediatraffic.de/albums.htmA new week's data from the global chart just out. Voyage stays at #6 with a further 115,000 sales now totalling 1,363,000. The total is still just ahead of Sheeran but some way behind Adkins. www.mediatraffic.de/albums.htm

I have really warmed to LT but sadly not the video so much. I was disappointed when ABBA released their Christmas song with the video. I find the promo clip strange as ABBA don't appear on it albeit a tiny clip of the band performing " Chiquitita ". ABBA were pioneers of the pop video and I was always excited when a song by them was released with an accompanying promo clip. They put out such brilliant and dynamic videos. The video to LT feels out of place with me. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I read that ABBA have donated all royalties for LT to UNICEF as they did with " Chiquitita ".

I was thinking of replacing Little Things, with I Keep Them On The Floor Beside My Bed in my Voyage playlist after Christmas, as I don’t like listening to Christmas songs out with the festive season.

Possibly a surprise move by UK radio 2, Europes most listened to radio station, Little Things has been promoted to the A list after being on the B..
Means it will played a lot more !!

That’s old news, but I never commented. I find it really odd - how and why can a fifth single be worked into the show? The real ABBA performed 22 songs to be worked into ABBATars, and only ISHFIY and DSMD existed when they did that. A fifth single early next year is too early, as by May it will be old news. Plus if it’s just an existing album track there will little interest in it. Same can be said of Little Things, but at least that one is seasonal and its release helps to secure its future use. Also, it’s only apparently being released to radio, meaning it’s not a proper single (even if released physically for collectors). People can already stream it as part of the album. I wonder if whoever has said this from Universal UK has got it wrapped round their necks, and it might actually be the first indication that there may be a brand new single released in May (or just before). Otherwise I really don’t see the point in a fifth single. Too many from a 10-track album.

I can't see any new song being in the show either. Only "faith" and "shut" were done for that.
A 5th single? Why not. It's promotion for the album.
No Doubt About It gets the nod from several of us on here at least!

^^^^ Who really knows, we can read many articles and Ive just read one in WH Smith ( UK stationers ), they have a glossy magazine out called ABBA a New Voyage, looks great, Abbatars on the cover, however quite expensive at £10, however it has an article inside.. craftly read ..lol, to cut short... originally 26 tracks done and some extra bonus songs that will be added at future concerts , now this may be old news or new, old tracks or new...but it wouldn't surprise me if they did a few more new tracks. just to change things and get repeat business ? As usual time will tell.....but everything will be ramping up in early 2022, Possibly that new single from the album who knows, I cant decide whether it should be WYDWM, KAEOD or NDAI... if we are to get one.... a brave choice would be KAEOD..... then around April/May potentially one of those "unfinished " tracks.....
The momentum will keep going right up to the ABBAtar show.......

I read somewhere that they did more songs than is planned for the set list. I think it was they recorded 22 but plan to have 19 initially and maybe make a few adjustments with track list over time.
That said, from everything I have read and heard only ISHFIY and DSMD are the only new/Voyage songs.
Btw, £10 for a glossy mag is expensive. I tend to read magazines from WH Smiths at railway stations/airport. I regard them as a library...lol!

I have no idea about the charts nowadays. I do remember the seventies and back then all sorts of different music made the charts. You could have big hits without having to fit in with whatever was thought of as the current trend in "pop music". "I was born under a wandering star" by Lee Marvin, "Popcorn" by "Hot Butter", songs by Al Martino, Andy Williams, The Royal Scots Dragoon guards! - all sorts of stuff. I really think something like "Ode to Freedom" would have been a success back then. Radio 2 (UK) would have played it - Radio 1 would have had to play it once it was in the charts. In those days a double A-side had some meaning. With "When you danced with me" on the other side it would have given some option if OTF was a bit too stately for your radio station. I appreciate this probably doesn't relate to today's charts but that is what I would like to see. OTF/WYDWM as a single. I can also imagine that the instrumental part of OTF could be worked into the show at both beginning and end - that would not require any new avatar work. Probably a controversial opinion but I don't think ABBA should or need to be put out an obvious "pop" song like NDAI.

^^^ Interesting... OTF isn't mentioned that often, but is a brilliant closer... The more you listen ( like all of them really ) the better it gets. I beg to differ though it could be a single, but hey who am I . However I can see it worked into some Theatre production/profound musical. It could have easily come from Chess ?
Alas Johnny I tend to "use " WHSmith in the exact way..lol......

Not sure if this is widely known but, apparently, Don't Shut Me Down was Abba's first #1 single in Sweden since Summer Night City! Odd how the #1s kept coming elsewhere in the world after SNC but not in their own country.
