That's so funny. Indeed, who is listening to it? Is it actually ABBA's version? I wonder if they gave permission.

Voyage will probably be out of the top100 next week and will never return unless there is a deluxe reissue, but Gold will probably stay top20 all year.

Just came across a chronology for the songs on the Voyage album...
2017...ISHFIY/DSMD no surprises there
2019...Bumblebee/ICBTW again no surprise but also that Hit by a Train (or whatever it is called)
2021...the first songs recorded last year Little Things and new backing track for Just a Notion.
Then all the other songs.
The best songs were recorded at the begining and towards the end. It sagged a bit in the middle with those 2019 songs and first two from 2021. Nice to know the weaker songs were not the last recorded as that would give the impression they were struggling.

I seem to be one of the few to like Bumblebee and it's message. It is in my top 4 from the album. One of my least favourite is When you danced with me. For some reason it reminds me of The Piper but nowhere near as good. Along with Little Things the song I listen to least from The Album.

Platinum. Etc. The only circumstances it might re-enter are 1. A deluxe edition as you suggest 2. Part of an advertising campaign for the Voyage show which also mentions the album. 3. If it is sold at the concert. It only takes about 1200 sales to scrape into the Top 100. A few hundred sales at the venue could make a difference in chart appearance.

Voyage is getting a little plug every day at the live shows with two of its songs being aired, and the name 'Voyage' being used for what is effectively a best-of concert. So, I wouldn't be surprised if it hangs around (just) in the top 100. We'll see...

FWIW, I would have put Angeleyes into Voyage in a heartbeat. I think it's a missed opportunity, I really do. But what do I know? Given the chance, I'd have made Voyage into a two hour show and included all my favourites.
I have also gleaned that the avatars don't actually perform Voulez Vous or Eagle? Slightly disappointed by this (although I can understand the need not to saturate the fans with the Abbatars- keep them wanting).
I like Bumblebee, too. Once again, It's important to remember that this forum is tiny and the opinion of one person doesn't mean it's fact. There's a lot of love out there for the so-called weaker songs on Voyage.

I think Angeleyes would be a great addition or substitute in the set. Its various Mamma Mia/TikTok incarnations have lifted its profile quite a bit. It'd be interesting to see how the live band would tackle it: would they emphasise the Motown feel to make up for the lack of a string section, or would they devise a new synth arrangement to keep close to the original arrangement?
Additional benefit: it would add to the list of visual performances of singles that never got a video back in the day. When decent clips of these songs are eventually allowed on YouTube, maybe they could lift their fortunes?
In the scheme of things, I'm not completely against the video interludes in the show, but it seems really odd to park a very high-energy (in all senses of the phrase) track like Voulez-Vous in that kind of dreamy setting. It's crying out for some vampy moves from the Agnetar and Fridatron.
Bumblebee is a lovely song. It's one that, sometimes, is somehow already stuck in my head when I wake up. Not gonna lie: I could live without those bloody flutes, but the melody and the performances are gorgeous. I want a remix that mimics the bare beauty of Frida's Lugna Vatten. Flutes begone!

Yes we should show Bumblebee some love. I to love the song and I like the message, and when the song is play I am lying in my garden and as always Frida's sings it wonderful.

Me too l enjoy 'Bumblebee' one of my top 5 from Voyage', it resonates with me more, probably because l live in a mountainous Area, surrounded by nature, fresh air, l kept bees at one stage, plus l love Gardening and Eco living, as much as possible. And no immediate neighbors, so l can play my music, and Guitar to my heart's content without objections, after living in a Noisy, Polluted, City, l now live in my preferred location.

Joseph and Tony, I too would have loved " Angeleyes " to be included in the " Voyage " concert set song list instead of " Does Your Mother Know ". Love " Bumblebee " . For me one of the highlights of the " Voyage " album. Also, " I Can Be That Woman " is one of the tracks I listen to the most. Incredible song !

Voyage re-enters the Dutch album chart at #30 in its 20th week. Voulez-Vous is also back in at #87 and the Album Box Set enters at #68. I don't know if anyone is interested in any other chart than the UK's, but Voyage has left the Dutch album chart again after re-entering for one week. The Album Box Set is also out of the top 100 after one week at #68. But surprisingly Voulez-Vous is up from #87 to #59.

'Hit by a train'? There's no way that could seriously be the title of an unreleased song. Could it?! It's just so , I don't know...insensitive?
I see orf popped in, posted then deleted it quickly, as he's often done before.

'Hit by a train'? There's no way that could seriously be the title of an unreleased song. Could it?! It's just so , I don't know...insensitive? It’s probably not its exact title but I think that was the one quoted. It’s about love hitting someone like a train. The quoted title makes it sound more literal than metaphorical.

Your post is like a paraphrase of One More Time's Highland Bumblebee is not my favourite from Voyage but it's nice. Actually there is not a single song on the album that I don't like. I even got used to Little Things in the end.

As for the chart facts... I'm curious if any of the studio albums will make it into the charts following the picture disc reissues. If enough people pre-ordered them, they could appear in the lower regions of Top 100.

If 'hit by a train' is a line within a song I guess it's ok. Actually, thinking about it, even if it was the title, so what? Art is art; there are no rules. I've changed my stance. I think it's actually a great title. Ok, maybe not great...but it's not up to me to decide what's acceptable and what isn't. I daresay there are some really 'out there' lyrics in pop culture. Definitely. There are songs about everything under the sun.

I remember ONJ getting some flak when she released "Heart Attack" in 1982. There was some pearl-clutching in the red-tops, with quotes from some Brenda-in-Brum type whose Nan had had a heart attack and snuffed it, so Olivia was a heartless cow to release a song with that title. It was such a pile of nonsense.
The metaphor/analogy about love striking with a force that must be like being hit by a train is not new. I realise people are a lot more respectful of themes around suicide - and quite right too - but can't imagine the lyrics will be anything to scare the horses.

Yes, if they do release this track, I hope "Hit By A Train" won't be used as the title, even if it's in the lyrics. In the UK it is a common form of suicide and such a problem that the Samaritans have put up posters on station platforms. I have many times been waiting for a train on a station to hear an announcement of a delay or cancellation due to someone being hit by a train (they don't mince their words these days) - it makes you go cold. So, that title is a definite no-go area in this country.
On a more cheery note, has anyone received their box-sets and/or picture-discs yet? If so, what is the verdict?

Regarding a possible ABBA song whose theme is that falling in love is like being hit by a train, it suggests to me that it might be along similar lines to a 1954 song (words and music) by Johnny Mercer:
When an irresistible force such as you Meets an old immovable object like me You can bet as sure as you live Something's gotta give Something's gotta give Something's gotta give
That sort of thing.
But, like gamleman, I hope the ABBA song, if appears, isn't called 'Hit By A Train', even if the lyrics put it in a 'suitable' context.

If enough people pre-ordered them, they could appear in the lower regions of Top 100. They could make it into the Sales chart. The studio album most likely to re-enter the album chart is Voulez Vous. It had 4 singles released in the UK and 5 songs if you count the VV/Angeleyes double A side. Then add SNC and GGG. It is a mini Greatest Hits album. Streams for those songs count towards VV and Gold. Infact Voulez Vous has re-entered the charts in UK, Sweden and one or two other places since the release of the first Voyage singkes/Voyage album/Voyage show. As for Hit By a Train, it is clearly methaphorical. Let's not get too sensitive or pretend its mocking suicide.

We had a similarly bizarre re-entry of the VV album last year. Obviously these album re-entries are a result of the picture-disc releases but I gather that VV does particularly well because it is supplemented by streams of 5 singles, while other albums have fewer singles - that is, streams of individual songs contribute to an album's chart performance (which doesn't seem right to me).

I know what you're saying.
Streams count for 1. The song 2. The studio album 3. Nominated compilation.
