What are the chances that ABBA have been in the studio recording more songs none of them have actually said a definite 'NO' with a serious tone in their voice and with the two left over songs from the 'Voyage' sessions rumored to have the titles of 'Hit Me Like A Train' & 'My Story Ends With You' (according to the fans pages on Facebook) still to be released who knows what aces ABBA still have to play.
If they managed to keep the 'Voyage' recording sessions a secret (apart from the announcement in April 2018 that 'I Still Have Faith In You' & 'Don't Shut Me Down' had been recorded) then who's to say that they haven't been recording a 10th album in secret and with 2023 marking the 50th Anniversary of their debut album 'Ring Ring' it would be a great way to celebrate it by releasing a 10th album.
I think they have been recording as they appear to have been rather quite lately so which usually means something is on its way.
I really wish they had finished that album they began recording in 1982 & 1983 that would have been released in 1983 and the intended comeback in 1985 should have happened.

More ABBA Gold is so hard to track down on Vinyl plus its the only way to get 'I Am The City' on Vinyl so a re-release of More ABBA Gold on Vinyl would be fantastic its one of two ABBA albums I don't have on Vinyl the other being 'Voyage'. I am planning to buy the Half Speed Master of The Visitors when it finally gets released.

I was so surprised to see JAN used in Voyage rather than this. JLT is a great soap-opera ABBA song and would have sat really well alongside DSMD or KAEOD. I was suprised by the inclusion of Just A Notion but not so much by the omission of Just Like That. I like the song very much (although I find the sax quite irritating) but Benny have said so many times that they will never release it, even claiming it's not complete, that I think it's highly unlikely he would change his mind. Moreover, both the original chorus and the verses were already released (the latter in a Chess på Svenska song). On the hand, how likely it was that ABBA would record a new album? So, I guess it's their favourite "never say never". If the original vocals were kept and the backing track reworked, it could make a great song. By the way, just recently a fellow ABBA fan told me that Frida is not present on the known recording of JLT and it's just Agnetha singing both the lead and the backing vocals. Does anybody know if that's true? You can definitely hear Frida in the chorus on the version of 'Just Like That' in the Undeleted medley.

I like that Voulez-Vous is getting some love. It has been sniffed at a bit over the years but it's always been one of my firm favourites. Probably my most played, in fact. I have always said that 'Voulez Vous' is ABBA's best album its just fantastic my favourite songs from the 'Voulez Vous' album are 'As Good As New', 'Angeleyes', 'The King Has Lost His Crown', 'Kisses of Fire' & 'If It Wasn't For The Nights'.

Someone on the BBC TV show EastEnders is a huge ABBA fan as I heard 'No Doubt About It' played again on last nights episode in previous episodes 'Just A Notion', 'I Can Be That Woman', 'Don't Shut Me Down' & 'When You Danced With Me' have been heard.
Coronation Street a few months ago played 'Keep An Eye on Dan' its nice to hear ABBA's music appear in UK TV shows.

Someone on PopJustice has given their view of the new CD boxed set so I’m copying and pasting it word-for-word: Some pro's over previous sets: - as with the deluxe editions, the first 3 albums sound brilliant - the "fix" at the 2:07 mark on Dancing Queen that has plagued every digital release since 1997 has now actually been fixed. It no longer sounds like the girls are off key at the end of the chorus - the digital skip from the 2001 onwards releases of Knowing Me, Knowing You isn't there either - this is probably the best remaster we've had of Arrival & The Album - The Name of The Game is present and correct in full form with it's original EQ, good dynamics and no distortion. AT LAST. - Head Over Heels is the correct mix - this is the first international release of the original Swedish Polar tracklisting for the first 2 albums, which is nice to have. - of course, Voyage is included, making it a complete albums set Some con's: - The Visitors is not much of an improvement over the Deluxe Edition. Notable tapehiss in places, the volume drop between side A and B is clear still too. - Take A Chance On Me seems to be mastered louder than the rest of The Album - the bonus disc is ridiculously short. You can clearly tell that the CD set was an afterthought, and this was designed with the LP box in mind. Even the artwork for Voyage is the LP artwork, with sides A and B listed Overall, glad I took the punt on the set. It's worth it for Arrival and especially The Album. By the correct mix of Head Over Heels does that mean its the Alternate Mix that was on the Deluxe Edition of The Visitors.

I have been thinking for a few days what if ABBA have secretly been recording more songs that are not due to be released until they are no longer with us I don't want to think like that
I do hope that 'Hit Me Like A Train' and the other song from the Voyage sessions do get released eventually I hope they are actually finished songs but from what Bjorn & Benny have said maybe those two songs will never be completed if this really is the end of ABBA for good if only they had reunited years ago we could have had more songs and albums.

To lighten the mood (!), No Doubt About It was playing in the gay club at the end of EastEnders tonight, just as Ben mistakenly beat up his husband outside. It wasn't actually his husband, it was his nephew (a weird family tree if ever I saw one) Peter Beale. It was great to hear it - second time it's been played on EastEnders in a month! They've also played Don't Shut Me Down a few times and ISHFIY if I remember correctly. I heard 'I Can Be That Woman' & 'When You Danced With Me' in a few episodes earlier in the year

I think it’s the middle 8 of Hole In Your Soul: “you paint the world and use old colours..” part they mean, melody is a bit similar z That part of Hole In Your Soul is itself based on Get on the Carousel isn’t it? Yes that part of 'Hole In Your Soul' is from 'Get On The Carousel' the part 'The roundabout is just beginning'

Adam, I do like " I Am The City ". Quite a quirky pop song with great vocals from both Frida and Agnetha. 'I Am The City' should have been released as a single in 1982 it could have done well had ABBA given it a chance and even though 'Just Like That' is a wonderful song and way better than any B-Side song it would be the only song they had remaining from the 1982 sessions to put on the B-Side.

'Ode To Freedom' is the only song from 'Voyage' that I am not overly keen on only listened to it 3 times and it seriously needs to grow on me I love every other song on the album its just this one song that never gave me that wow feeling when I first heard it.
Don't Shut Me Down, Just A Notion, When You Danced With Me, I Can Be That Woman, Little Things & Keep An Eye On Dan are my favourite songs from 'Voyage' I also like 'No Doubt About It' & 'I Still Have Faith In You'.

Just going back to the topic of 'Voyage' the 3 songs I have listened to the most since the album was released are 'Don't Shut Me Down', 'Just A Notion' & 'When You Danced With Me' but everyday for the last 3 weeks I have been listening to 'I Can Be That Woman' on constant repeat I instantly loved it the moment I first heard it and played it quite alot but no where near as much as I have lately its an absolutely fantastic and beautiful song and the vocal delivery by Agnetha is absolutely gorgeous and emotional and its without doubt one of the very best songs that ABBA have ever recorded its definitely in my top 10 of ABBA songs I really wish it would have been released as a single as its that good it could have done very well every review of 'I Can Be That Woman' that I have read have been positive not read one single negative review about this song.

Ring Ring is my favourite ABBA album I think the songs are really good and my favourite song from this album is 'Nina Pretty Ballerina' I wish it would appear on more ABBA compilation albums as its such a great song and really catchy alot of people are quite surprised when I tell them 'Ring Ring' is my favourite ABBA album I don't get people find it surprising as its a very underrated album. I also like 'Me And Bobby And Bobby's Brother' that should also appear on my more compilation albums.
'Dream World' is my favourite ABBA song I loved it from the moment I first listened to it in April 2003 and it was nice to find get the original introduction on the 2010 Voulez Vous Deluxe Edition.

'Just A Notion' has definitely made it into my top 5 favourite ABBA songs I absolutely love this song and I have played it about 7 times every day for the past 3 weeks its so catchy and instantly makes you feel good.
Just to go back on topic I will never understand why 'Under Attack' gets so much negativity its a fantastic song and one of ABBA's best and most underrated songs it really should have been a big hit its catchy.

I love the 'Voyage' album every song is wonderful the only song that didn't hit me back in November when I heard the entire album was 'Ode To Freedom' and it still has yet to grow on me its not a style of song I would have thought ABBA would have done its too operatic I do like the song but its definitely the only ABBA song I wouldn't put in a playlist or in my top 10.
Is it true that the Bee Gees invited ABBA to record 'If I Can't Have You' for the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack album but they turned it down.

I know that they don't have an album out at the moment but 3 members of Bucks Fizz are still recording music together (Cheryl, Jay & Mike) under the name 'The Fizz' and the 3 studio albums they have released since 2017 have been fantastic especially their 2020 album 'Smoke & Mirrors' which is incredible and the follow up is released this year. As far as I am concerned they are Bucks Fizz and I always refer to them by that name despite the fact that they no longer speak to Bobby G who really should let Cheryl, Jay & Mike use the Bucks Fizz name.
ABBA's new album 'Voyage' is just stunning and I absolutely love the album and I am really hoping that they record more songs and a 10th album to truly go out in style this comeback has been so successful just a pity that they didn't record together sooner as they were on a break since 1983 if only they could have returned in 1985 with another album which would have would have been amazing with 'I Know Him So Well' & 'Nobody's Side' as their comeback singles.
I have said that to many people that ABBA should have carried on through the 80s and they would have overcome their slump in the charts I think they took a break far too soon as the songs recorded during the sessions in 1982 & 1983 were fantastic and had that 1983 album been released as planned it would have marked a new direction and style for them. It would have been rather interesting to see how 'I Am The City' would have done as a single had it been released in 1983 its such a catchy song and one of their best songs in my opinion.
If a Deluxe Edition of 'Voyage' is released in 2022 it would be nice to have the two songs that weren't included on the original release as well as 'Hey Grand Old Man' (English Version of Hej Gamle Man) plus a second disc with the 6 songs from the 1982 sessions finally getting a proper home and 2022 also marks the 40th Anniversary since 'Under Attack' & 'The Day Before You Came' were released as singles and 8th November will mark 40 years to the day since 'The Singles: The First Ten Years' was released.
I came up with a tracklist a few months ago of what that 1983/1984 album could have looked like
1. Under Attack 2. Cassandra 3. I Am The City 4. You Owe Me One 5. Just Like That (Saxophone Version) 6. Slowly 7. Every Good Man 8. Don't Do It 9. Man 10. The Queen of Hearts 11. When The Waves Roll Out To Sea (Instrumental) 12. The Day Before You Came

Adam, you are right. The vocals are indeed different. Well spotted ! Alib, a few other members of the forum like YOMO so you are not alone. The entire second verse and second chorus are different to the 2021 version which obviously means that ABBA did another take of the vocals
