'Rumours' was No.1 for 31 Weeks, in the USA, between 1977 and 1978.
In the UK it was in the Top 10 for 44 Weeks, over the Years. However, it only managed 1 Week at No.1 - W/E 28th January 1978. it was knocked off No.1 by 'The Album' by ABBA, which stayed at No.1 for 7 weeks.
'The Album' was in the UK Top 10 for 25 Weeks. 'Arrival' was in the UK Top 10 for 34 Weeks.
By the end of the 1970's 'Arrival' was the UK's 7th Best Seller of that Decade, 'The Album' was 20th and 'Rumours' was 13th.
As the Years have gone by, 'Rumours' has far outsold those 2 ABBA Albums. It has sold more than twice as many UK copies as 'Arrival', which has sold about 1,730,000 in the UK. It has outsold 'The Album' by more than 3 to 1, with 'The Album' on around 1,100,000 UK Sales.
'Rumours' is the UK's 11th All Time Best Selling Album, with over 3,900,000 Sales...

By the end of last weekend, MM2 had taken £48.3 million at the UK box office. It is doing lots of repeat business and its decline has been gradual over the last month. By now it will be well over £50m - it is a huge hit, at least in the UK. Seems to be doing really well in Australia too. Even in the US, it has surpassed the $100 million mark. It's great news for the Abba fan community!

It's nice to see that Angeleyes seems to have outlived its initial expert reviews: Johnny Rotten found it "orrible" and Joan Collins thought it had some sort of "military beat"!
