The Name Of The Game was confirmed by Lily James when an interviewer mentioned that it was his favorite abba song. Lily revealed to the interviewer that he will be happy then (with Mamma Mia 2).

I know from what you say Colin, that it's a lot of ifs buts and maybes, but don't you think it's getting out of hand now, before we know it, it will be the whole back catalogue, and MM2 will be 4 hours long!!
There now has to be a few untruths in the list, which will disappoint , so until the official official list is released, we will all have to wait and see..
Shame this is happening, " but " if all is true, now that's another story..

Basically, people’s predictions count for nothing.
Would be nice to see Dance (WTMSGO) in the film. It’s one of my favourite ‘early’ songs.

I'd like to see 'Move On' & 'Hole In Your Soul' in the Film, but no-one has 'predicted', ('guessed!), or 'confirmed' them - so far. I like 'Tiger' too. A lot of Pink Floyd Fans like 'Eagle'. They say that Pink Floyd could have recorded it. I have no idea, as I have never listened to a Pink Floyd Album. Nor did they release many Singles. Of course, we also have 'The Day Before You Came', which a great many ABBA Fans like. I hated it in 1982, but I regard it as an 'ABBA Classic' now. That is probably too long to be in the Film - as is 'Eagle'.
I think that there will be, (about), 24 ABBA Songs in Film 2 - the same as in Film 1. With at least 3 of them being sung twice - so 21 different ABBA Songs, sung 24 times, between them.
I do hope that Benny & Bjorn realise, that there must not be too many Songs from Film 1 on the Soundtrack Album. The 'General Public' will be put off, if there are. Well over 5.5 Million of them already have those Songs on the 2008 Film Soundtrack. I do not believe in the idea, that you have to only give 'The Public', ABBA Songs, that they already know. They will like the 'new' Songs in Film 2 - so those should fill most of the Soundtrack CD. Which - if the 2008 Soundtrack is any guide - will only contain about 17 Songs from the 2nd Film.
TALKING OF THE 'MAMMA MIA! 2' SOUNDTRACK ALBUM
Soon, I will ask The OCC if it will be 'banned' from the UK Artist, (Main), Album Chart. In 2008, the 1st Film's Soundtrack Album was refused entry. It was only allowed into the Compilation Chart, (11 Weeks at No.1), & the Soundtrack Chart, (over 30 Weeks at No.1).
However, there has been a difference this Year - The OCC has allowed 'The Greatest Showman' Soundtrack into the Artist Chart. It has been No.1 for 11 Weeks in a row - by Friday 23rd March. I don't see how The OCC can ban the 2nd 'Mamma Mia!' Soundtrack from the Chart, when they allowed 'The Greatest Showman' in. If they do ban it, I just want to know why...

The fact that the Greatest Showman has been 11 weeks @ number one with a bunch of songs which were unknown to the public proves that Mamma Mia 2 does not have to have recognisable songs. I bought the Greatest Showman but I cannot say that every song is memorable or great but it has succeded despite being panned by critics. Don’t see why Mamma Mia 2 cannot do the same given the catalogue of catchy and memorable tunes. Maybe 2018 will be the year of the musical.

Foreverfan/Graham - Yes, to feature all 30 ABBA Songs mentioned, (so far), the 2nd 'Mamma Mia!' Film would have to be much longer than the 1st Film. Obviously, not all of the 30 Songs will be included.
'I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do' is the latest ABBA Song to be mentioned. It is the 13th Song in List A. (The'Predicted', (by Fans), List. I've up-dated all 3 Lists, in my earlier Post).
Although it was a big Pan-European Hit, and in the USA, Australia, Canada etc., it only reached No.38 in the U.K.
Alan Jones, (the UK's main 'Chart Expert'), is a big ABBA Fan, but he always said that 'I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do', was ABBA's 'Worst ever Single'.
I've never made up my mind about it. I'd say that I 70% like it & 30% dislike it. With it sometimes being 50% like & 50% dislike.
MadonnaABBA - Yes, the fact that 'The Greatest Showman' has been the UK's No.1 Album, for the last 11 Weeks, proves that people don't need to know the Songs in a Musical, for it to be a big success. That also goes for 'Mamma Mia! 2', where many of the ABBA Songs are not very well known, to most of the 'General Public'. They will be, once people rush to see the Film...

I have mixed feelings about I Do x 5 too. It’s not one of ABBA’s great songs, certainly, but I think its place in ABBA’s history is underrated. It could be argued that it is more important than SOS in establishing ABBA internationally post-Waterloo.

It looks like the only way that we will know - for sure - what ABBA Songs are in 'Mamma Mia! 2', is when the Tracks are 'Officially' announced, in June or July. The 1st 'Mamma Mia!' Film had 21 different ABBA Songs in it. Three of them were sung twice, ('Mamma Mia', 'Dancing Queen' & 'I Have A Dream'). So there were 24 Songs in it.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
LIST A)... The following ABBA Songs have been confirmed to appear in the Film -- either by Benny Andersson, or they appeared in the Trailers:
01)... “Waterloo” from Waterloo -- (1974)
02)... “Mamma Mia” from ABBA -- (1975)
03)... “Fernando” Non-Album Single -- (1976)
04)... “When I Kissed the Teacher" from Arrival -- (1976)
05)... “Dancing Queen” from Arrival -- (1976)
06)... "Thank You For The Music" from ABBA: The Album -- (1977)
07)... "I Wonder (Departure)" from ABBA: The Album -- (1977)
08)... "I Have A Dream" from Voulez-Vous -- (1979)
09)... "Angel Eyes" from Voulez-Vous -- (1979)
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
LIST B)... The following ABBA Songs have been mentioned -- by Cast and Crew Members:
1)... “I’ve Been Waiting For You” from ABBA -- (1975)
2)... “Knowing Me, Knowing You” from Arrival -- (1976)
3)... "Why Did It Have To Be Me?" from Arrival -- (1976)
4)... "The Name Of The Game" from ABBA: The Album -- (1977)
5)... "Kisses Of Fire" from Voulez-Vous -- (1979)
6)... “Super Trouper” from Super Trouper -- (1980)
7)... “One Of Us” from The Visitors -- (1981)

It's a shame the number of songs mentioned has now become excessive. When it stood around 20 it seemed a great collection of songs and was really optimistic about what would end up in the film. I think someone has become a bit carried away with updating Wikipedia.

Guys - The Wikipedia Page, about 'Mamma Mia! 2', has now removed all of the 'Predicted' Songs in List A. As well as some of those in List B & List C.
Only 16 ABBA Songs are left. He or she has also removed all of the Characters names, from the Songs they were next to.
This is because I - & someone else - told he, or she that his 35 Track Song List was far too big to fit in the Film.
I suspect that someone has either been feeding he/she false information, or they have been making it all up - to make their 'Mamma Mia! 2' Page look impressive.
We will have to watch the Film, to see which ABBA Songs are really in it.
I doubt if the 'MM2' Wikipedia page will be so keen to add ABBA Songs, from now on...

All seems to quiet on Mamma Mia 2 song content. Seems strange given the amount of people involved that more songs have not leaked out.

After being reproached, (told off), for adding 35 'Mamma Mia! 2' Songs to his Wikipedia Page, that person is far more careful now.
He currently has just 16 ABBA Songs Listed, that he says will be in the Film.
Those of the 16 Songs that are not on 'ABBA Gold' are:
'When I Kissed The Teacher', 'Angel Eyes', 'I Wonder (Departure)', 'Kisses Of Fire', 'I've Been Waiting For You', & 'Why Did It Have To Be Me?'.
He Lists some 'ABBA Gold' Songs that were not in Film 1:
'Fernando', 'Knowing Me, Knowing You', 'The Name Of The Game' & 'One Of Us'.
Plus, some 'ABBA Gold' Songs that were also in Film 1:
'Dancing Queen', 'Mamma Mia', 'I Have A Dream', 'Super Trouper', 'Waterloo' & 'Thank You For The Music'.
For 1 day only - Monday 2nd April - he added 'As Good As New' to the List. He has now removed that Song, so I no longer know if it is included in Film 2.
Elsewhere, someone has stated that ABBA Fans neither want, nor need, yet another ABBA Compilation. He does not 'get' it. Such a Compilation would be released to 'Cash In' on the 2nd Film. It would reflect the ABBA Songs in that Film. It would not be 'aimed' at 'ABBA Fans', but at Fans of the 2nd Film. A great many of whom will not really be 'ABBA Fans'. It would give them the chance to buy ABBA's originals of the Songs in Film 2. Universal know that most people do not buy ABBA Studio Albums, these days. So, they would need to 'Tie-In' a 'fresh' ABBA Compilation with the 2nd Film. So it is irrelevant whether 'ABBA Fans' want a 2018 ABBA Compilation. It would not be 'aimed' at us...

It makes business sense to release a new Abba compilation to mirror the songs in Mamma Mia 2. Also a good opportunity to promote the studio albums in a booklet to accompany the release to introduce a new audience to the Abba catalogue. Why not make it easier for them? As for songs reappearing I hope they keep them to a minimum .. Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia. Too many other good songs need an airing.

Mentioned by guitarist Janne Schaffer on an Aftonbladet Podcast, on Tuesday 10th April...
He not only confirmed that 'If It Wasn't For The Nights' & 'On And On And On' are in 'Mamma Mia! 2'.
In the Podcast he also said that 'As Good As New' is definitely in the Film. (Which is great, as I really love that Song).
I see the 2nd Film as another big opportunity to promote ABBA - even though I think that the Plots of both Films are rather silly & weak. And even though most of the Cast cannot really sing.
I just hope that the Director of Film 2 has made it look spectacular. It would be awful, if it turns out to look like a cheap TV Movie, with random ABBA Songs forced into it! I do hope that a real effort has gone into making the Film look like it has had a lot of cash spent on it. After all, it reflects badly on ABBA, if the Film looks like a 'Bargain Basement' version of Film 1!!! Their Songs deserve a big 'Show Case'.

All I need now is Kisses Of Fire to be confirmed and I'll be a very happy man.
All of the 3 above in another time, should've been top 5 singles if not number ones.
can I carefully say it's beginning to look 😊 good. Song wise....
Hopefully public will appreciate these ( to the public anyhow) lost 💎 gems

Well it is a fabulous opportunity to promote the back catalogue for those non fans. If there is to be another compilation album the album should also promote the studio albums in the inner sleeve to make it easier for people wanting to be a bit more adventurous.

Graham - It is Cher.
On Wednesday, (25th April), she attended the CinemaCon 'Event' in Las Vegas.
She gave a surprise performance of 'Fernando', with about a dozen dancers.
Also at the 'Event', a brand new Trailer for 'Mamma Mia! 2' was shown. It included Cher singing 'Super Trouper'. However, that Trailer has yet to be released for the 'General Public' to watch. I expect that it will get a proper release very soon.
It does mean that - yet again - a Trailer for the Film is showing ABBA Songs that were in the 1st Film. So far, 'Fernando' & 'Angel Eyes' are the only 'fresh' ABBA Songs to feature in a Trailer for Film 2. It really has given the impression that there are hardly any ABBA Songs in Film 2, that were not in Film 1. We will see if there are any 'fresh' ABBA Songs in the latest Trailer...

Thanks Colin, it's not a brilliant clip in clarity, so thought it could've been some drag act called Cher Brasil...lol that said the voice was to good... so ended up being unsure... The movie version should be a lot better.... 3 months and counting... the news should start dripping out soon....

Today - Tuesday 1st May - Benny & Bjorn were interviewed in the Swedish Newspaper 'Aftonbladet'.
Benny confirmed that 'Kisses Of Fire' is in 'Mamma Mia! 2'.
Both he & Bjorn hinted that they think 'Mamma Mia! 2' is better than the 1st Film.
So, we now know the Titles of about 20 Songs in Film 2. There are likely to be 2 or 3 that we don't yet know.
Benny & Bjorn said that they only finished the recording of the Soundtrack Album last Friday - 27th April.

2 further 'Mamma Mia! 2' ABBA Songs have now been announced.
Dominic Cooper has mentioned, (interview), that 'Like An Angel Passing Through My Room' is in the Film.
Lily James has said that 'Head Over Heels' is also in the Film.
That brings the Total of ABBA Songs in the Film to 22. That is 22 that we know of.
There may be 1 or 2 more.
Also - we may have a couple of Songs sung more than once, in the Film.
We shall see...
